This is a course for PPTA Branch officers and PPTA members who have completed the Stage 1 course and who are interested in extending their participation in union activities.
This is a two-day course, with the days separated by between four and eight weeks to allow participants to investigate within their workplaces issues raised during Day 1.

The aim of this course is two-fold: to introduce young teachers to the structures of PPTA so they will feel confident to participate in union issues; to provide knowledge of the context within which their conditions of service derive - eg. legislation, collective agreements, Treaty of Waitangi, etc.
